We all know it – the famous “Sirtaki,” created by Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis when he wrote the score for “Zorba the Greek” in the early 1960s. Theodorakis’ ballet of the same name, arguably one of the most successful ballet pieces of the 20th century, is now performed in Luxembourg for the first time by the dance company of Theater Trier under its new director, Roberto Scafati. This production is a collaboration between the new ballet ensemble, the opera choir of Theater Trier and the Trier Philharmonic Orchestra.
