Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro
More than 230 years after its premiere, Mozart’s opera “Le nozze di Figaro” is more popular than ever. Theater Trier presents its current production, staged by opera director Jean-Claude Berutti, at the Festival de Wiltz. Wonderful music, a lot of fun and a stage design adapted for the amphitheatre guarantee an unforgettable evening.
Clever Figaro, formerly Count Almaviva’s barber and now his manservant, wants to marry Susanna, the Countess’s maid. Figaro himself had helped to make a match between the Count and Countess, yet now Count Almaviva chases after Susanna, trying to exercise the traditional droit du seigneur. After a chaotic day of disguises, scheming and games of hide-and-seek the Count finally realizes that the world he used to know no longer exists...
